About The Programme
B.Sc. in biotechnology is a three years undergraduate specialised degree programme. The duration of the degree programme is three years. Individuals wishing to pursue this course are required to complete 10+2 in biology, physics and chemistry. Biotechnology is the combined study of biology and engineering. Students enrolled in the course learn various skills and acquire knowledge to design and perform experiments to study the life processes and behaviour of living organisms such as cells, tissues, bacteria, fungi, and algae. Their study is further used to develop products to improve the quality of life.
Eligibility Criteria
- The eligibility criteria to enroll in a BSc Biotechnology varies from institute to institute. We have provided below the minimum eligibility criteria considered by major colleges to offer admissions in BSc Biotechnology.
- Completion of 10+2 in physics, chemistry, and biology is required from a recognised board.
- Individuals are required to complete 10+2 from a recognised board with an aggregate of 50 percent of marks.
